hi..

the answer for the permutation question is 5!*6P3.
it has 3 vowels and 5 consonants
_C_C_C_C_C _ ….. IF u see this … vowels can take any of the 6 places(marked with dashes). vowels can be arranged in 6P3 ways and remaining 5 consonants can be arranged in 5! ways.. so 5!*6P3

so 5! * 5p3*2 == 120*120 = 14400

Total number of words = 8!
Number of ways, when vowels come-together = 6!*3!
Therefore Number of ways, when vowels being never-together
= 8!- (6!*3!)

8!- (6! * 3!)

logic : Basically what we have done is we have subtracted those events (6!*3!) in which vowels come together from Total no of events (8!) as no letter is repeating.

3! is a event among 6! in which all vowels come together.

6! is the event in which one event is in which 3 vowels are coming together and 5 events are consonants.
