First option 1 only is the correct answer.
HTe question given is inteh form of [a^2)-(b^2)]/[a-b] where a is t and b = 1 The numerator can be split as (a-b)*(a+b). The term(a-b) cancels out leaving only (a+b) i.e (t+1) in this case. So , substituing for t=1 we have the solution as 2 which is as required by the given problem.
