Dear ranjitha,
As you know that GRE is applicable for courses like medicine engineering, arts, law………… So ETS gives almost 50% question with very low difficulty level. Even a 8th grade students can crack them.

But this is not the same for another 50% questions.. ha ha ha.

Dear Viren,

Thanks a lot for putting your concern. I am considering that you are not aware of “defined function in GRE Test”.

Now move for some basic tutorials:
If it is defined as
x**=x^2
Then 3**= ??
Answer will be 3^2 that is 9.

Similarly in above question
a* = (2a + 6)/4,

Now a = 3b + 1,
So a* = (2(3b + 1) + 6)/4,
That comes out 1.5b+2

Probably I didnt specify the question for which I wanted the explanation. Actually its today’s question - the one related to geometry (square, circle & triangle), wherein you are required to find out the length of the arc BF.
Thanks a lot for the concern and the prompt reply.
