Let x be the number of shares.
x—160

12 stocks- 15$ => 15/12 $ per stock
i.e 5/4 $per stock
she got 160$ => she has (4/5)160 stocks
i.e 128 stocks

This pblm can b solved simply by setting up a proportion
for x shares held she earned $160
for x+12 she earned 160+15 = $175

so, x: (x+12) :: 160:175

=> (x+12)(160) = (175)(x)
=> 160x+1920=175x
=> 1920=15x
=> x=128
so ans is A

12 shares———–$15
X shares———-$160

X = 12 * 160/15 = 128
