It is tempting to go for C, but the word paradoxical is for me the impulse to look for a turn in the arguement, A is the only likely candidtate!

All the other choices could fit but but don’t fit as well because your being given clues that something is contradictory and related to a certain region of the body. For instance, C seems right but disorientation and disorder aren’t really a paradox. They are too similar.

The sentence says something is a parodox, so that means it seems contradictory but is actually true. Disorientation is something you would think is bad for you so a contrdiction would be that it benefits you. Temporal is a term related to the brain. (Think temporal lobe). It makes sense that this is where disorientation occurs and that this area would be associated with mental health.

now this I understand because the question is obviously fill in the blank and they give you choices….with math on the other hand, all you are given is

C sounds rite. There is contradiction involved. ‘Somatic’ refers to body. If it results in a mental disorder, it is paradoxical. Besides it says:

somatic disorientation may “ALSO” yield which implies that there is a reference to another disorder.

answer is A, the _somatic (physical,pertaining to body)_ disorientation inherent in jet lag also may yield some mental health _ disorders _ din sound quite right. On the contrary, Mental disorientation reflects on the body.
