well,,here the sentence clearly gives the reader an idea that the teacher is cheering up a student ..so this is done only when the student is sad or unhappy…the word jubilant sounds and means that its something realted to joy , triumph, and hte work crestfallen clearly makes us understand something low or sad… and so goes the answer creatfallen..compared to other options
